Accessibility audits & remediation guidance
EssentialI review key user flows, components, and content against WCAG 2.2 AA, using manual and assistive technology testing alongside automated tools where they are useful.
Findings explain what is happening, who it affects, and what needs to change, with remediation guidance written for the people who will actually make the fixes. When remediation is complete, one verification pass of the original findings is included.
The verification pass covers findings from the original audit. New functionality, newly introduced issues, or a broader re-audit would be scoped separately.
VPAT / ACR conformance reporting
Procurement supportWhen a buyer or procurement team needs formal accessibility documentation, I can prepare an Accessibility Conformance Report using the appropriate VPAT template.
The report documents what was evaluated, where the product conforms, where limitations remain, and the information a prospective buyer needs to understand its current accessibility.
Inclusive usability testing and human-centered UX
User insightsI conduct moderated usability testing for organizations that want direct feedback from the people their products need to work for. I can support an existing research or product team, or handle the study for organizations without dedicated in-house usability or accessibility research capacity.
Studies involve a representative mix of participants for the research question and intended audience, with disabled people deliberately included rather than left out. That can mean people who use screen readers, magnification, or alternative input in their daily lives, people with cognitive, sensory, or neurodivergent access needs, and nondisabled participants where the research calls for them.
Studies can include scoping, participant recruitment, moderation, qualitative research, synthesis, findings, and actionable recommendations.
Accessible tech development
Shift-left designI help design and build technology with accessibility and usability in mind from the start.
I can review designs, components, and front-end implementation while work is still in progress, when accessibility issues are often easier to address than they are post-launch.
When developing, my process includes both UX and front-end work involving rounds of rapid prototyping + usability testing, refining concepts through feedback and iteration.

Content development
Advocacy, education & enjoymentI write and develop digital content for a range of audiences and purposes. My work has included published articles and blog content, updating learning modules I was originally trained on, collaborating with Teach Access on an educational framework, reviewing web content, and adapting existing work into alternative formats.
The main body of my published work involves writing for the American Foundation for the Blind.

A favorite project involved adapting graphic novel illustrations for an audiobook, figuring out how to preserve the story and visual experience through audio description. The work involved moving panel by panel, identifying the visual information that carries the story, and shaping it into an audio-first script that preserves composition, expression, action, setting, and narrative flow.
If you have a project that doesn’t fit neatly into a standard service category but could benefit from an accessibility-minded approach, I’m open to talking through what it needs.

The final price and timeline depend on the size and complexity of the project, the testing or research involved, and the deliverables we agree on. If the scope changes along the way, I’ll talk with you before the work or cost expands.
